Geologists define granite as a plutonic rock made up of coloured feldspar, white quartz and ferromagnesian minerals (Amphiboles, Pyroxenes and Olivine’s). These minerals vary in their composition and hardness and cause granite to have an amazing colour range. Granite worktops have a unique pattern that was produced when it cooled millions of years ago.
